Your Beautiful (R) English Teacher

BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN ENGLISH WITH BEAUTIFUL R SOUNDS (RHOTIC)

You can just call this school Beautiful R!!! I specialize in training young learners as young as 5 and up to 19 years old. My trainings are best suited for homeschool students and young learners who want true command over the English language. That means they want to be able to speak real English, at natural conversation speeds, with natural conversation flow, natural structure, cadence and fluency. And they want to be able to do it all day, like if they were going to go live in the USA or Canada and go to school there. My classes and training are specially designed to achieve this for your children. Conventional teaching and conventional education can’t do this for you anymore. But we have what you’re looking for!!

WHAT’S GONE WRONG WITH THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND MAINSTREAM ENGLISH CLASSES? AND OTHER SUBJECTS TOO!!

Something serious has gone wrong in our schools. I mean all across the world!! They’re not really educating our children anymore, not in the ways that our children need it.

I remember when we were told to “Get a good education”. It made sense, because a good education is the right knowledge, the right skills and the right experience put together, to equip and enable the student to excel at actually doing and accomplishing things in life. But now they say “Get good grades”. This might seem like the same thing, just with different words, but it isn’t. Oh!!! They’re so different now, today!

WHY GOOD GRADES DON’T REPRESENT AN EDUCATION!

You see, true education and grades have been split into two different paths. True education, which is what our children need, has been distanced from and covered up. The people who tell our teachers what to teach, don’t want us to see it or know how to get it. No, now they control the minds of our children, and by extension, us too, by making our children chase grades, that don’t have any relationship with a true education. What do I mean by this? Let’s explore it a little.

Imagine this. Your child, who’s very athletic, has two different head coaches for same sport. One at school, and one that you hired independently, because you want your child to have the best possible chance to succeed. One’s a coach who’s “in the system” and he’s told what he can and can’t do in training. The other is a long seasoned coach who’s gone independent. His training is based on his years of extensive experience, and he’s always striving for continual refinement in his methods and strategies for the benefit of his athletes and team. He has his athletes hit the field and play their best, so that he can observe and assess strengths and weaknesses, then he devises training exercises that use speed and repetition to train his athletes minds and bodies to respond accurately and instinctively when his athletes are in the game. He’s training his athletes to compete at their best potential, and operate instinctively.

The other coach, employed by the school, has to use a grading system that can be easily understood by the other faculty. He’s told that his athletes need to be making very conscious decisions, and be able to express how they’d respond in a variety of different in game situations. So the coach begins slowing his athletes down. Teaching them to be deliberate in their action. Teaching them to think carefully about each situation to find the “correct” answer for that situation. He teaches his athletes to over analyze how they move their bodies, and to over think, about how their opponents might move or how they might respond. On the test, these athletes, no, these aren’t athletes, they’re just students. On the test, these students might get a high score, but to get it, they’ve given up the mindset, reflexes and instinctive accuracy that they critically needed to succeed out on the sports field. Their pursuit of grades directly countered their ability to actually play and excel.

HOW DOES ALL OF THAT COMPERE TO LEARNING ENGLISH AS A SECOND (OR THIRD) LANGUAGE?

This is basically what’s happening with our children when they are trying to learn a second language. You see, a language in operation, is far more like a competitive team sport, then it is a classroom subject. The athlete on the sports field needs to deal with all of his opponents, account for all of his teammates and the object of the game (ball, puck, etc) and do it all instinctively, with extreme accuracy and lightning speed. They don’t have time to “think it through”. While a conversation usually isn’t anywhere near that demanding, it’s very similar in it’s operation. The conversation flow can alter and change at any moment, there are nuances to the spoken language and to the body language, tone of voice, speed, cadence, etc. these can all carry meaning. And the language learner needs to “train” in that language in order to respond instinctively and accurately to all of these. And it becomes quite easy once you’ve mastered it. I mean, when you watch professional athletes out there on the field, doing what they’ve trained for, they make it look easy too don’t they? It’s because of how they’ve trained!!

The student who’s trained like an athlete, will be very equipped to handle all of these, and converse with a natural flow, comprehension and appropriate responses like native speakers would. And they can do it all day long, because their using the right kind of cognitive flow that’s easy on the conscious mind. While the student who was taught to be careful, deliberate, to think it through and be very sure of their responses before they ever speak. They end up thinking a whole lot more then they ever should have, their missing words, their getting the structure wrong, and any real conversation lasting more than 30 to 60 minutes will generally make their minds extremely tired from all of that extra thinking that they really shouldn’t have been doing.

BUT I WANT MY CHILD TO HAVE TRUE ABILITY, FLUENCY AND MASTERY ALL DAY LIKE A NATIVE SPEAKER.

If you want mastery, fluency, command, flow, all day ability, good structure, etc. for your child, then we welcome you. That’s what we’re here for. You should definitely contact us to begin the consultation and get things started for your child or children to begin their journey in training in true and Beautiful American English, like a native speaker. But again, you’ll want to do everything you can to help your children succeed, and that definitely means as much separation from the “think too much” teaching of the public schools. But finding a way to do this, will greatly enhance your child’s development in true operation of English, like an athlete.
